ABOUT this PROJECT – Sheridan

So Mpls..   Two years after completing an addition that allowed for a kitchen and master suite remodeling to the home, this Sawhorse client came back to us to achieve identity to the front of their home.  The low pitch shed roof gave no definition to the entry point.  A modest sized gabled entry deck was detailed with salvage columns from original house. Wrought iron railing completes the traditional distinguished entry.

Testimonial: Thank you Sawhorse for doing it again!!  – Great Design and expert project management

ABOUT this PROJECT – Western

St. Paul Kitchen remodel.   A 1 1 /2 story cape cod style home in St. Paul had an extremely space starved kitchen, no place to enter from the detached garage and no place to eat in the kitchen space.  A very modest 6’ addition allowed this kitchen to transform into a space that has changed this client’s everyday living.  The 6’ addition allowed for a door from the back yard and newly completed deck to enter directly to a mudroom cubbie space.  Cherry storage cabinetry which match the kitchen offer ample daily storage and a discreet pair of doors open to phone recharging station and message center to keep up on this active families schedule.  The additional space allowed for the construction of an exquisitely designed eating nook with trestle table (also in matching cherry) that has incredible “pullout” accessible storage.  A nearly 10’ wide doorway was created between the expanded kitchen and the adjacent living room and an open feel main level is not out of place in this cape cod. An island that includes the gas cooktop also is not short on storage capacity at the ready.  Craftsman style detail abound in this kitchen with cherry flat panel doors, granite counters with porcelain back splashes with natural stone accent tile coordinate the craftsman feel throughout the kitchen.

Features:  Full extension drawers and rollout accessories makes the kitchen ergonomically very user friendly.  Natural Granite countertops w/ porcelain and stone back splashes detailing look very handsome in this quant kitchen remodel.

Exterior remodel – part 2.   Three years after taking on the main level kitchen and bath projects, this client requested a low maintenance update to the exterior of the home.  Prefinished Hardi-Board siding in lap and shingle texture patterns evoke finishes  similar for the age of the home.  The front entry deserved special attention and got it.  Classic Tuscan columns create a covered entry ceiling with beard board finish on it’s ceiling.  Meticulous landscaping completed this inviting entry where there was none previously.

Features: Custom Cherry cabinets, natural granite countertops, porcelain subway tile with custom glass accent tiles.
