ABOUT this PROJECT – Ottawa
St. Louis Park, Kitchen and bath remodel. A 1911 original farmhouse now surrounded by suburban homes has stood the test of time. Our clients have lived in the home nearly 40 years, raised their family and were ready to treat themselves and their classic home to some much needed updates and refinements. As the clients sat with their Sawhorse designer she cautioned …”and I really like the color green!” An overloaded/stock piled but seldom traversed butler’s pantry was taken over and space added to a cramped kitchen space. The color request led to the marriage of True Value’s Jericho green as the base color for cabinetry with Luna Pearl countertops, beautiful crackled white subway backsplash tile, oil rubbed bronze hardware and light fixtures along with stainless steel appliances, all complement the green nicely. A movable naturally oiled butcher block prep island allows for grandkids to assist in the cooking and baking processes. The former butler’s pantry storage necessitated a beautifully arranged pantry wall with crackled glass for modest display and bookshelves for a few of client’s favorites. A main level master closet expansion allowed for the repurposing of a unique hardwood flooring into the kitchen that allowed the remodeling to be seamless and “green” for another definition.
Features: Full extension drawers and rollout accessories, all with “soft close” feature, makes the kitchen very user friendly. Custom Painted and Stained Cabinetry, Natural Granite countertops, porcelain tile backsplashes and seamlessly patched (w/ salvaged flooring) maple flooring.
